Dr. Lund knows what he is doing. You will definitely feel better leaving. I went in with a tight low back and he focused on my tight hamstrings which I guess were the actual underlying problem. It was a night and day difference after 15 minutes of treatment. Good stuff. 100% Recommended.

New Patient FAQs

Is Chiropractic Safe?

Yes. Chiropractic care is widely recognized as one of the safest drug-free, non-invasive therapies available for treatment of neuromusculoskeletal disorders. Chiropractic has an excellent safety record.

What is a Chiropractic Adjustment?

A Chiropractic adjustment is the use of a specific force in a precise direction that is fixated, "locked up", or not moving properly. Adjustments help return the bone’s to a more normal position or motion, restoring the body’s natural healing. The main purpose of a chiropractic adjustment is to improve spinal function, increase range of motion(ROM), eliminate interference to the nervous system and to improve overall health.

What Do Chiropractors Treat?

Doctors of Chiropractic (DCs) care for patients of all ages, with a variety of health conditions. DCs are especially well known for their expertise in caring for patients with back pain, neck pain and headaches, particularly with their highly skilled manipulations or chiropractic adjustments. They also care for patients with a wide range of injuries and disorders of the musculoskeletal system, involving the muscles, ligaments and joints. These painful conditions often involve or impact the nervous system, which can cause referred pain and dysfunction distant to the region of injury. The benefits of chiropractic care extend to general health issues, as well, since our body structure affects our overall function. DCs also counsel patients on diet, nutrition, exercise, healthy habits, and occupational and lifestyle modification.

Does Insurance Cover Chiropractic?

Yes, chiropractic care is covered by most insurance companies. We also offer cash discount plans for those who have insurance that doesn’t cover chiropractic care.

What Type of Education Do Chiropractors Have?

The typical applicant for chiropractic college has already acquired nearly four years of pre-medical undergraduate college education, including courses in biology, inorganic and organic chemistry, physics, psychology and related lab work. Once accepted into an accredited chiropractic college, the requirements become even more demanding — four to five academic years of professional study are the standard. Doctors of chiropractic are educated in orthopedics, neurology, physiology, human anatomy, clinical diagnosis including laboratory procedures, diagnostic imaging, exercise, nutrition rehabilitation and more.

Do All Patients Get Adjusted the Same Way?

No. There are many different chiropractic techniques that work better for different patients. The doctor will make his recommendations based on years of training and experience. The two main techniques that the doctor will choose to use will be a manual adjustment or an instrument assisted adjustment

A manual adjustment of a joint may result in the release of a gas bubble between the joints, which makes a popping sound. The same thing occurs when you “crack” your knuckles. The noise is caused by the change of pressure within the joint, which results in gas bubbles being released. There is usually minimal, if any, discomfort involved.

An instrument assisted adjustment utilizes a tool that will deliver a gentle impulse force to the spine with the goal of restoring motion to the targeted spinal vertebra or joints. There typically will not be a popping sound with an instrument assisted adjustment.
